Here’s what is open and closed on Labor Day in Georgia

The country is celebrating the unofficial end of the summer today for Labor Day.

While people are out celebrating with cookouts or a trip to the beach, some common places that are normally open on Mondays will be closed for the holiday.

Many places are open, but don’t try going to your local bank -- and you won’t get mail today either.

The U.S. Postal Service will be closed as well as all federal, state and local government offices. All public schools are closed and all banks, credit unions, and other banking institutions will also be closed.

If you’re taking out the trash, keep in mind the pickup schedule will likely shift one day later this week.

If you need something for your cookout, Walmart, Target, Publix, Kroger, Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods Market will be open.

Costco is closed and Aldi will have limited hours.
